You didn’t know there was a story about our tap handles did you? Read below to learn more! ?

The tap handle shape came from some friends at the FORGE in Greensboro. The FORGE was one of, if not the first, makerspace in the NC Triad. We met a guy named Joel Bennett who came up with two possible designs for our tap handles. The first, our favorite, was what we use for our Devil’s Advocate handle in the taproom. While we loved the design and use of a saintly figure, it wasn’t the most practical design, knowing how tap handles can be tossed around. The other shape was practical, different, allowed for brewery branding, and a place to put the name and style of the beers, and still kept that saintly motif. We still have that prototype tucked away. This design has been our tried and true tap handle design for the past six years, and probably for many more.
